Keep the old....

That song, "Make new friends, but keep the old...." keeps running through my head as I'm writing this post:) A few weeks back, some of my oldest, dearest friends were all able to reunite for a fun roof-top summer night together. I think that my "old friends" are some of the greatest blessings in my life. We may not see each other very often, but we can pick up right where we left off and still laugh about the hilarious things we did growing up. Some of these friends I have known since birth and all of them stayed my friend during my awesome junior high years (I literally got a perm, braces and glasses the day before 7th grade started....and they all stayed my friend!!!) I think if I dug through my boxes, I'd be able to find a classic picture of all of us at camp a good 15 years ago. Love you, dear friends, and love that we were able to share a perfect summer night together!!!

We've come a long way!!

Ten years ago, Rach, Mere and I were busy running to the Stupe to get Diet Cokes, staying up way to late discussing life, planning weddings, going on Spring Breaks together and partaking in all sorts of other shananagans that filled our college years. Sure wish I had pictures on my computer from that era:)

Fast forward five years, three babies later, and here we are in 2007:

Our little pumpkins: Natalie, Addie and Paige
And fast forward another 4 years, and here we are today!!!

7 kids later - they are all best buddies....

.... just like their mommies!!!

We had such a fun week with Rach, Addie and Finn visiting from Austin.
We will treasure all of the fun memories we made that week!

Will 2.5

Will officially turned "two and a half" last week and I wanted to document some of the things that define Will at this point. He is at an absolutely darling phase and we love watching his wheels turn as he seems to be embracing the "boy" in him:)

One of my favorite things right now is Will's sweet disposition. Will stands at our garage door in the morning and waves to Ben and says, "Bye, Daddy....Have Fun!!!" He won't come inside until Ben's car is no longer in view - it's so sweet.

He may have an older sister who makes him wear tutus (much to his father's dismay) - but he stands firm and won't do the dance steps that go along with it. Rather, he choses to use his wand as a sword in true boy fashion!

Will is usually a good 20 feet behind us in most activities. A common occurrence in our household is me yelling, "Come on, Buddy!" and Will saying in a slow drawl, "I'm comin', Momma!" When I tell him that he needs to hurry up, he'll respond with his sweet, "Oh wight". Hard to get mad at a cute boy with orange crocs poking behind us:)

Boy, oh boy! Will is without a doubt becoming all things boy - quiet, mischievous, curious, observant and silly....not to mention hilarious. Not so hilarious: finding him in my car with a blue Sharpie, drawing on his face and the inside of my car. I'm learning to not let him out of my sight and to be worried if things get quiet.....that's usually when he's up to something:) Keeping me on my toes and making me laugh everyday...I just love this little guy!

On the girl front, Annie turned 4 months old this past week as well. Weighing in at a healthy 13 pounds, 10 ounces, she's in the 75% for weight and 50% for height. Loving our healthy, happy and cuddly little princess.

We have a cereal eater!!
