Birthday fun

I had such a great birthday with my family but it was even more fun seeing the excitement through Paige's eyes. She couldn't wait for my birthday to arrive and spent all day reminding me that it actually was my special day!! I'm so thankful for my husband, kids, dear friends and parents who knew just how I would want to spend my day!

So excited to make the birthday cupcakes!

The moment Paige has been waiting for - candles!!!

My favorite part of this picture is the effort Ben is making to blow out the candles...

* Will was fast asleep by the time the cake came out...*

Fun in the Sun

We couldn't have planned a better time to head to Florida for some fun in the sun! We thoroughly enjoyed the time to be a family - Paige discovered that she's a fish in the pool and set some new trends with her bright pink goggles and floaties, Will had a blast hanging out in his baby raft and Ben and I had enjoyed some much needed R & R.

Classic- this picture will haunt her when she's 13☺

Will wanted to give the bright pink goggles a try too!

Happy Easter!

We had a great Easter Sunday celebrating Christ's Resurrection and enjoying the day with family. The kids really got into egg hunting and Paige especially enjoyed twirling in her Easter dress ☺ We are still very uncertain of the Easter Bunny but Paige assured us that when she turns 3, she won't be scared of him anymore.....love her logic!

While the kids don't quite understand the Easter story, it was so sweet to hear Paige belting her favorite worship song on the way to church. It's called "Mighty to Save" and she just loves to sing it. There is a line in the song that Paige sings, "he rose and conquered the grave". While she has a hard time saying "conquered", we know she's starting to learn of Christ's amazing love for her and that is the greatest Easter gift we could ask for.

Happy Easter from the Ferwerda Family!
