Front-End Loader

I hosted play group yesterday and had 8 wonderful almost 2-year-olds and 4 babies at our house to play. The house across the street is currently being built and the kids were absolutely mesmerized by the front-end loader pushing dirt around the lot. It was hilarious....forget about our newly finished playroom.....all I needed to keep the kids in check was a couch, window and a huge truck! They literally all stood for 30 minutes watching in awe:)

Parker!!

The kids, my mom, grandma and I ventured up to Grand Rapids this week to meet Parker Lewis - my cousin Bree's little boy. It was the world's fastest trip to GR, as we were only there for 3 hours!!! We stayed at the cottage and took the trip up for dinner. It was so much fun to be able to meet Parker and see him while he was still relatively small (he's only 1 week old but weighed 9 lbs, 10 oz. at birth!!!) Paige and Cash had so much fun spending time together. Here are a few pictures of our time with Bree, Cash and Parker!

Four Months!

Four Months - how in the world is Will already 4 months old?!?  He is just growing up right in front of us!!  Will went to the doctor on Monday and got a great report.  He weighed in at a healthy 14 pounds, 15 ounces (50%) and was 26 inches long (90%).  It's interesting because I looked back at Paige's chart and at four months, she was 14 pounds, 1o ounces and 25 3/4 inches long.  They are practically the same!!!  Siblings - gotta love it:)

Paige's surgery went great....I swear, she is a new child.  She is eating better, sleeping better, talking better - and just seems so much happier - she finally feels good!!  We are so thankful that she was able to get the tubes and that everything went well.

Mountains, Cousins, Eggs and Tubes!!!

We spent Easter in Beaver Creek, Co this year - We had a great time even though Ben came down with the flu.  Paige and Will loved spending time with Uncle Peter and Aunt Erika and we were so thankful to have a quick lunch with Aunt Kate and Maren in Denver.  Of course, at 22 months, Easter Eggs were the highlight of the weekend....Paige is still talking about eggs:) Here are some pictures from our weekend in the mountains:

On a different note, Paige is going in tomorrow (Thursday) to have tubes put in her ears.  The ENT appointment went well and the doctor strongly recommended that she get the tubes sooner rather than later.  She has some hearing loss in her left ear and both ears are full of fluid.  He assured me that the hearing was not permanently damaged and the tubes would fix that.  We will find out later today when her surgery is scheduled for but it will most likely be first thing in the morning.  We would appreciate your prayers for Miss Paige - we know it's a quick and easy procedure but it's always scary for a toddler to go to the hospital and have to be under anesthesia.  I'll be sure to let you know how she does!!!

Growing up!!

Paige officially is in her "big girl bed"!! She is so proud of it.  In case the pictures don't do it justice, we have quite the ham on our hands :)

Will has also entered a new phase - one of Paige's favorites at his age - the jumper!!  Of course he's not quite jumping yet but he was so happy to be hanging out vertical.  Also, last night Will slept from 8 P.M. until 7 A.M.!!!  I kept waking up wondering when he was going to wake up and he never did!!  My little boy is growing up :)
