Three!

It's hard to believe our "baby girl" is now three...time is just flying!! We had such a fun few days of celebrating Paige's birthday. We spent Sunday celebrating Father's Day and the big 3 with a family trip to see Toy Story. Paige loved it! Since the whole family (including 3 of Paige's Great-Grandparents) wanted to come, that meant Will came too. He was busy, to say the least. Thankfully we had a lot of people to switch off running around with him in the hall☺

Starting her birthday out in style with a donut and homemade crown from Aunt Erika

One happy 3 year old!

Paige was so excited for her new bike!

This picture makes me laugh because it pretty much sums up "Toy Story".
Paige loved it but covered her ears for the loud parts and Will was just a squirmer.....

Making a wish...

We also had a birthday party with Paige's friends - unfortunately the weather didn't want to cooperate for an outside park party, so we went classy-style and brought it indoors to our local McDonald's. Turns out McDonald's is a great place to host a party! I didn't have to bring any paper products, hardly had any clean-up, and the moms had a blast chatting because the kids were all confined to the play land. It was hard to even get pictures of the kids together because they were too busy having fun. It really meant so much to be able to see our friends from Naperville and celebrate with them!

Some of the kids eating their cupcakes - it was hard to get them all in one place!

I wasn't able to get one picture of all the kids, but I did get one of all the moms.
So thankful for these dear friends!!

Zoo Trip

Over Father's Day weekend, we took a family trip to Brookfield Zoo. Believe it or not, this was the kid's first time to a zoo and they LOVED it!

Paige insisted on bringing "George" to the Monkey house☺

Still going strong!

Our family has an incredibly crazy June when it comes to celebrations. Within 12 days, we have 2 birthdays, an anniversary and Father's Day.

Ben and I spent this past Friday celebrating our 6th anniversary. We had a great time downtown Chicago, eating all of our favorite foods, shopping at all of our favorite places, and spending much needed time together after a crazy week of moving! So thankful for my husband and the fun we have together!

Happy 6th Anniversary, Ben!

Boys and Trucks

It is so interesting for me to watch how my kids naturally are drawn to gender specific toys. While Paige loves playing with dolls and helping me bake in the kitchen, Will loves balls, trucks and cars. At a recent birthday party, we were lucky enough to visit the local fire station. Paige was really scared of the noises and size of the trucks. Will, however, was enamored by them. He seriously couldn't get enough of the fire truck. He just stood in front of it, yelling, "truck, truck". I captured a few pictures that sums it up - My little boy loves trucks!

This makes me laugh

We went to our good friend, Liam's, birthday party last week and his mom sent me this picture. Ben thinks she was just blinking at the right time. However, I like to think that before Liam dove into his birthday cupcake, Paige felt called to bless the meal. I mean, look at her hands folded. Clearly she was trying to pray at the birthday party - which just makes me laugh.
