And they're off!

Just like that, I blinked and my first baby headed off to kindergarten.  How is that even possible?  Paige was SO excited to start - she especially looked forward to eating lunch at school:)  She is going 3 full days a week and it really has been a great fit for her.  There is no doubt, she was ready!!!  (Her momma, however, shed the tears for both of us!)

It was a rainy morning the day Paige started so we took off to school pictures in the garage:)

The next day, Will started his school career by heading off to preschool!  He was so excited and it doing great with the transition.  He has surprised me by how chatty he is after school about the details of his day - I love hearing my little guy talk my ear off about all he is experiencing!

It was a much sunnier day when Will started - He opted for the GQ pose in front of school:)

And Annie?  Well, she's graduated to pigtails - and is soaking up being the only kid home for a few hours in the morning.   It's so much fun to have that one-on-one time with her!  I have realized just how helpful Paige and Will are in keeping Annie out of trouble - she is definitely keeping me on my toes while they are gone:)

It was so much fun to have Aunt Erika and Mormor with us for the kid's first days.  We celebrated their first days with a special Culver's lunch with our Grams and Mormor.

Praying for you both as you begin a new year - so excited to see all that is in store for you!!

So long, Summer!

And just like that, we've said goodbye to another fun summer.  It always seems to go by so fast, yet when I look at our pictures, we filled it to the brim with all sorts of fun.  We bid farewell by heading up north to the lake for one final hoorah.

We participated in all of the annual traditions:
Lake Games

Sea Doo cleaning

Wall measuring

Tramp Playing

Dock clearing

Cousin Playing

 and Smore Eating

And for a quick update, Will declared that he was going to stand up on the easy ski and low and behold, HE DID!  We were so proud of him and his determination (especially after this post:)

Good bye Higgins Lake!  See you next summer!

Longevity

Rach, Cory and the kids came into town for a few weeks and we had a blast spending time with them.

Paige and Addie - Friends since birth

And about to head off to kindergarten.  How did this happen?

Will and Finn

So thankful for the gift of these two dear college friends and for the many years of friendship we have shared together!

And thankful for a night out to spend time as the 6 of us:)
