R & R

Back to reality!!  We're home from our wonderful trip to Florida.....it was such a fun week as a family. Paige was in her absolute glory and loved going outside to the playground and pool.  She was obsessed with all of the airplanes, boats, birds and fish that were at our resort. We named one of the fish "Bob" and she walked around saying, "Hi Bob Fishy!" Priceless!!!  Will did great too - he was a champ for his first airplane ride.  Life in Florida was really rough for him....he ate a lot (can you tell??), slept a lot, and started to roll from side to side.  He'll be rolling all over my floor before I know it!!  As for Ben and I, we caught up on sleep, enjoyed lounging by the pool, celebrated my Grandma's 85th birthday, and we were even able to enjoy a few date nights without the kids!! Here are a bunch of pictures from our great week together:

3 Months!

We can't even believe that Will is already 3 months.  I stepped on the scale with him yesterday and from what I can tell, he's 14 pounds!!!  The roll count on his legs is now up to 3.5 on each leg:)  We are loving his personality that seems to show itself more and more each day.  He is a tender, sweet, loving boy that is already quite the charmer!!  We laugh because when he cries, it's from his gut....yet all you have to do is look his way and he starts smiling and "winking" with his eyes.  He has definitely captured our hearts!!

I walked into the kitchen today to find Paige taking Will's hands in hers.  She was clapping his hands and trying to sing the "A, B, C's" to him.  He was smiling back at her - it was so sweet to watch this interaction between my two babies!!!

On another note, Paige went to the doctor again today for her 7th double ear infection.  She has been such a sick little girl and the doctor agreed, she was in pain!  We got antibiotics, pain drops for her ears, and a referral to an ENT - which is such a relief to me.  We go on April 7th and are hopeful to have tubes put in to help her with these infections.  Hopefully the medicine will kick in fast so we can have a great family vacation next week!!

Guess what???

After twelve and a half weeks and lots of 3 A.M. feedings.......

I finally decided to sleep through the night!!!
Mom was so happy when she looked at the clock
for the first time at 6:00 A.M.!!

I'm trying to decide if I want to make this a habit.
Mom and Dad sure hope so!!!
Love, Will

Sibling Love and making Daddy proud...

Paige is clearly taking her role as "big sister" very seriously:) She is starting to really love having him around and is always trying to talk to him and take care of him. Arm behind Will, she gladly posed for these pictures with her brother.

Last weekend we took the kids to their first basketball game. Ben was the proud Dad, as he got to take Will to Wheaton's play-off game. Paige felt left out so we took her the next night! Wheaton won both games, which made it even more fun!!!

By the way, Paige is cutting her eye teeth - these days it's near impossible to find her without her fingers in her mouth!!

The girl likes a challenge!

We finally put Paige in her "big girl" crib.....it's been about a week now and I'm proud to say that we have FINALLY outsmarted our daughter.  Apparently, she just liked the challenge of getting out of her bed.  Now that we've removed the thrill of actually climbing up and over, she has managed to stay in her bed for 7 days in a row.  Not only that, but she has been sleeping even longer in the morning and at nap time.  We watch her on the video monitor and when she wakes up, she just hangs out in her bed....imagine that!!  This is a huge victory for Ben and I, as many of you know we have a very crazy smart child:) Here is a picture of Paige waking up from her nap this afternoon...

For those of you wondering, Will now has THREE roles on each of his legs!!! We're thinking about renaming him "Tank" Ferwerda....what do you think??
