Museum Fun
We had such a fun day at the Grand Rapid's Children's Museum last week.... and wouldn't you know what display was in town? Paige and Will's favorite - Curious George! The kids did so great playing with their cousins and Jodi, Kate and I were quite proud how smooth the morning to went with all 5 kids.

4th of July
I'm catching up, but we had a great week at Higgins Lake for the 4th. We had perfect weather, little kids laughing and playing and awesome company...couldn't have asked for much more!!
Some of our activities from the week (you can click on it to make it bigger)
One of our highlights: a night out just the five of us to see Eclipse:)

Appendix
Well, there will be no pictures with post, as I have no desire to take a picture of me post-surgery:) But, wanted to give a quick update that I did have an emergency appendectomy on Wednesday night. Everything is ok - the only challenging thing will be that I cannot lift my kids for at least 2 weeks. I'm still not exactly sure how that's going to work, but I've been flooded with help by family and friends so far. You can pray for a quick recovery - it's hard to be down for the count when you have 2 little kiddos wanting you to help them, play with them and love on them!

13 hours
Our good friends from college, Nate and Jenn, came to visit us in our new house last weekend. As we sat on our porch on Friday night, our conversation somehow led to the boxes of wood we had in our garage that would eventually become a swing set for the kids. Nate, being such a true-blue friend, suggested that the boys work on assembling it. Yes, I did warn him that it takes 12-15 hours to put together, but he insisted that he would love to help Ben with this project. I know, what amazing friends!
So, the boys got to work first thing Saturday morning and worked non-stop for the next 10 hours. Sunday morning rolled around and they were back at it. Thirteen hours later, we now have two little kids who are absolutely in love with their "park". I managed to take pictures of "the process" - the boys sure had fun working together:)
Deliberating - good thing both boy are detail oriented ☺
Day 1 almost complete
Jenn, Paige and I checking out the swings
Paige and Will trying out their new slide
The boys and Paige, proud of their work!!
Thanks, Nate and Jenn - we seriously can't say enough to let you know how much it meant for you to take a weekend to serve our family!
