five AND six

Miss Annie has turned six months old - and yes, I failed to mention that she turned five months as well:)

Month Five was filled with lots of visits to the doctors office. I'm pretty sure I'm now flagged as the "crazy mom" who thinks her chid is always sick! But in my defense, Annie has had 2 ear infections and has developed a wonderful habit of attacking her left ear. Combine that with her desire to not sleep through the night and I was dead convinced it had to be her ears! Well, her ears are great! So, we spent a lot of this month "crying it out", learning to sleep (she can now go from 8 pm - 5 am), and switching to bottles.

Tough love has worked because Annie turned 6 months old and is now the SMILIEST, HAPPIEST little girl in the world. You as much look her way and she'll flash you an open mouth smile and squirm with excitement. She has started some baby food and is days away from crawling. She's up on all fours and rocking away - so we're gearing up to put all small toys away and baby proof the house! The cutest accomplishment is that she has discovered herself in the mirror.

Being a relatively new iphone owner, I absolutely love having a camera at my fingertips. Here are a few cute pictures from our summer that I LOVE!!!!

Funner in the Summer

There is nothing that our family loves more than spending beautiful summer days by the water.

I feel like we've blinked and summer is drawing to a close - but these are the pictures we'll cling to during the cold days this winter!!!

Sling

Well, it's happened.....our first broken bone. Our little buddy took a tumble out of bed a few weeks ago and ended up in the ER with a broken collar bone. He's such a little trooper - and so stinking cute with his little sling!! I just had to capture his cuteness - the sling didn't exactly stay where it needed to be and we all laughed at how he would fling his arm backwards. He's now back to his old boyish self - running and jumping all around - and keeping me on my toes!!!

 Not sure if the sling was actually doing its job but it at least forced him to exercise caution!!

Happy Birthday, America! (a month late)

....... Better late than never!

We had a great 4th of July filled with parties, a parade, fireworks, and the beach - the perfect equation for a perfect weekend. Ben and I let the kids stay up WAY past their bedtime for the most incredible fireworks and somehow, Annie managed to sleep through the whole thing!
